While visiting napa, we stopped into Bleaux Magnolia for a bite to eat before going on our hot air balloon ride. The food was good and the restaurant was lovely.
Creole cooking gets a California makeover at this relaxed spot in downtown Napa.

In Short
Seeking to bring Louisiana cuisine to a West Coast palate, this culinary endeavor borrows flavors from France, Africa and the Caribbean. A dark-wood, intimate interior spills into an al fresco patio, framed by crimson drapes and natural foliage. Casual crowds linger around heat lamps on chilly Napa nights. The menu features classics such as duck breast jambalaya and cornmeal-crusted catfish, plus Pacific Rim spins such as crab cakes with mango aioli and macadamia nut slaw. The house-made root beer float--complete with sassafras elixir and pecan cookies--is a signature finale.
