Another must-go-to in Napa

Took my fiance here for her b-day. Excellent service and food. We started with the hot crab fondue, which was made with fresh crab meat and lots of it. She had their signature tri-tip and I had the salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted excellent. If you get their tri-tip, make sure you get it medium-rare. On top of that we had a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which really helped sum up the night. The restaurant was not very full when we got there, which made us nervous, but by the time we left, it was packed. This is a definite must-go-to in Napa.
- Pros: Plenty of parking, great service, great food.

With so many places to eat in Wine Country it's nice to find a consistant quality food restaurant with easy access from the Main Hwy. No corkage on Local Wines.
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: none

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy a good meal at a decent price and we found the Napa Valley Grille. To begin with, the location was easy to find coming from San Francisco. The place was very nice and quiet, perfect for a little get away from a hectic week. The food was fresh and very flavorful. Our hostess was very accomodating and friendly. It has been one of the best dining experiences we've had by far! We would highly recommend this place and definitely will come back again.
- Pros: Easy to find, quiet, relaxing, very good food, friendly staff
- Cons: none
You need to try the ribs, but quickly.

My friend in Los Gatos said that I needed to go into the Napa Valley Grille & have the ribs. Well we just got back & I need to say he was right. I told our waitress how we heard about the ribs & explained the story. Theyre a special breed of pork from before the whole pork its the other white meat campaign. So it still has color, marbling & most important the flavor of what they are supposed to taste like. Also they are brined for three days before cooking. You should have seen these things. They just fell off of the bone, so juicy & tender. I ordered a full rack & took the leftovers back to the hotel for a midnight snack. Yum. They are only on the menu during the summer. What will I do until next year? Im ruined on all other ribs!
- Pros: great cheese cake, frendly staff, very nice wine list

What can I say; I was thoroughly impressed with the Napa Valley Grille. My wife & I were in the wine country for our anniversary & we stopped in on Friday night to try a few wines before dinner at Brix (another restaurant). We had such a good time in the bar tasting wines & snacking on the neat little bar menu, that we got half way to Brix & actually turned around & went back to the grille. Not a single thing was over looked in our dining experience. Food, service, and atmosphere it was all delightful. I wish we lived closer, or that we had restaurants like that up here in Spokane. Next time we are in Napa Valley we will defiantly go back! Any one reading this, know that I'm trying to spread the word, youre in for a treat if you dine with these folks.
- Pros: great menu., Stellar wine list.
- Cons: I dont live close by!

My daughter insisted that we go to Bouchan and have their trout...when we arrive at 4:30pm we were told dinner didnt start until 5 pm..we said okay and asked for a drink and appetizers...to make a long story short we were treated very rudely and left...we ended up at Napa Valley Grille where we were amazed at how welcomed we were made...the food was excellent, the service was incredialble and my birthday turned out to be wonderful....we will making this our new hideaway....thank you Napa Valley Grille!!!!!
- Pros: service, food, atmosphere
Great Lunch

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the wineries last week. We always talk about stopping here but tend to forget by the time we taste wine so this time we stopped first. It is a warm, comfortable dining room and the patio was bright and open but the food is really the highlight. I had one of their combination plates, with carrot soup, a sandwich and a salad. My friend had the Hamburger - they told us it was a mixture of Kobe steak, NY and filet mignon - it was huge (we shared!!) and had crisp bacon, tomatoes, cheese. The best part may have been the crispy french fires with a special dipping sauce.
- Pros: Convenient, Ample Parking, No waiting
- Cons: Quiet

My friend and I love crab so we tried the crab melt sandwich mine came with french fries that were very dry and she ordered a half sandwich with soup and salad. She loved her soup. The sandwich was more like a tuna melt very little crab if any. The place and the service was great, but for $14.50 it was'nt worth it.
Nice place to relax and have a good meal
