Adorable, clean place!.
The rooms were very clean and the grounds were beautiful. Cheaper than surrounding hotels and still has a pool and hot tub! I would definitely stay there again.

Clean, comfy "budget" accomodations.
We spent one night at El Bonito Motel (note it is Bonito, not Bonita) and were happy with the experience. We had been looking to stay in St. Helena as cheaply as possible and El Bonito offered the best rate - $178 on a Thursday night in November. Our room had 2 queen beds, a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a hairdryer. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and strong, and the room was very clean. The hotel also has a pool, a sauna, and breakfast, but we did not partake in any of those offerings. The only negative is that it is not in the center of town and cabs are very hard to come by (there is one cab company and we phoned them several times over the course of 1.5 hours and they never picked up). We wound up walking to town, which only took about 15 or 20 minutes, but it was quite a chilly night and we hadn't packed the right clothes. But the bottom line is that if you would like to spend time in Napa and not break the bank, El Bonito is a good no-frills solution. We would stay there again.

Victorian inns not your scene? Check out this sleek '50s-style motel in St. Helena..
In Short
El Bonita is for those who plan to spend more time exploring Napa Valley than hanging out in their rooms. The motel sits on two-and-a-half acres of nicely manicured grounds and boasts an inviting pool, Jacuzzi spa and sauna--perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The rooms are basic but clean with Wine Country-themed decor. Each has modern amenities, including a microwave oven, refrigerator and coffee maker. Some rooms are equipped with whirlpool baths.
