Gotts has got it. Fun, fast and friendly, Gotts serves up some amazingly clean and (relatively) fresh "Burger Fusion". With the option to go clean and green there are interesting and filling salads however, for the greae-lover, go with the sweet potatoe fries. Also, don't forget Tuesday is locals night...good deals on a select few items and sponsored local beers and wines.

Best garlic fries and fish tacos. Oh! My! God! is all I can say after 'refreshing' myself at Taylor's. The garlic fries are divine, and the fish tacos were out of this world yummy. They have picnic tables on a grassy area where it's very pleasant to sit and chow down. This being Napa and all, there is a wine bar so that you can sip your favorite with your fries. Very casual and very fun. Super highly recommended!

MMMM.... milkshakes!. We planned to stop at Taylor's while touring Napa Valley. We went during lunch on a Thursday and it was pretty crowded. The line moved fairly quickly though and the short wait was worth it. With all the fine dining options in Napa Valley, it's nice to have a casual, American fare place to eat. My boyfriend and I both had hot dogs and shared a garlic fry (so good) and a chocolate shake. We sat at our own larger umbrella-covered picnic table in a large "yard" full of tables. It was a fun place to stop and the food was great!

Great Place for Lunch. I have been here 3 times and it hits the spot every time. Upscale quality diner food with picknik tables out back perfect for lunch on a sunny afternoon. Great burgers and awesome garlic fries. Very reasonable prices-$5-6 burgers, large fries 2-3$, free refills on drinks. I always come here once for lunch on my visits to the area.

Burgers, shakes and fries keep locals (and fancy-food-weary tourists) happy at this cheery burger stand in St. Helena.. The Scene
Right off the main drag leading into St. Helena, Taylor's Refresher is a classic burger-and-fries stand, with shady picnic tables out back, screened-in windows for ordering, and an adjacent parking lot filled with the cars of both locals and tourists alike.

The Food
After a weekend full of $14 goat cheese salads, tourists flock to Taylor's Refresher for straight-up normal food, with nary a chervil sprig to be seen. (Of course, locals love it too, for the same reason.) The burgers here are messy affairs--the pretty decent (but not outstanding) patties are loaded up with lettuce, tomato and lots of Russian-dressing style sauce. Fries are fresh-cut and golden fried, and the shakes are super-thick and generously poured.

The best burger in the west. Eat here all the time, the food is great, the service is fast and friendly, a little expensive but well worth it! Yum!
