Historical Spanish style in the wine country.. The Scene
California history buffs will enjoy staying here. The suites are named after such colorful local personalities as Black Bart, while public rooms celebrate destinations like the Bella Oaks Mine. Artisan-made furnishings of California oak, black walnut and fir lend a dignified air to this Mission-style property. Ecuadorian wrought-iron lamps and other unique appointments contribute character.

The Details
Within the Spanish-style rooms you may find such elegant touches as fireplaces, Jacuzzis and tiled bathtubs resting beneath stained-glass windows. Ceiling beams are made from century-old oaks, and the hand-woven wool rugs were made by the Salazaca and Otavalon Indians of Ecuador. Among the many in-room amenities are wine glasses and refrigerators. Breakfast is complimentary and can be taken in the pleasant courtyard, which seems to always have colorful flowers in bloom.

So very comfortable. Our room suited 3 overly packed women, extremely well.

The rooms were so comfortable and cozy.

If you have ever traveled with your own linens due to the poor quality you find in most hotel/inn/motels, you can leave them at home. The beds, The mini- kitchen, the fireplace. Over all coziness. The craftsman-ship throughout the entire place is uncommon, beautiful details can be found at every turn. The flowers in the courtyard are mostly night blooming, so that when you return from a day of drinking lovely wine you can further your intoxication with the flowers. The staff is helpful, always prepared with a thousand recommendations.

It also, centrally located, get to know the backroads.

I think it's a beautifully charming place, and would stay again
