WORST DENTIST IN TOWN!!
by Darrick G at Citysearch
Did not have any of my insurance info ready, I waited 30 minutes after paperwork was filled out...
I had scheduled and "exam, x-rays, and teeth cleaning"...
Took x-rays, and did exam, did NOT clean my teeth.. I was told I had "gum disease and needed a "deep cleaning" and doctor refused to give me a regular cleaning, then quoted me a ridiculous price for the "deep cleaning" which my insurance does not cover...
I decided to get a second opinion, and sure enough, NO "gum disease", and my teeth were cleaned right then and there!!!
This office is FILTHY, DISHONEST, and RUDE...
From the receptionist to the doctor, a pathetic excuse for professionals, their license NEEDS to be revoked, period...
People wonder why our counrty is in a resession, busnisses like this one...
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: WHOLE SITUATION

I'm used to going to a dental office that verifies my insurance benefits prior to my visit. That was not done. I was in the chair for a total of two hours for x-rays, exam and cleaning. That is generally done in an hour. The clips they used for x-rays were unusually Iarge. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience, one I have not had in the past. I was then told that something was wrong with the x-ray machine and that the x-rays were all botched, and that they couldn't make a proper diagnosis, as a result. Meanwhile, I was recommended to have extra dental work done, supposedly issues that could not be verified on the botched x-ray. My insurance company now would not cover further x-rays within the upcoming year, not to mention I had been exposed to radiation unnecessarily. When I asked for my films back so I could go for a second opnion, I was told to pay $35 - again, for x-rays that were botched. I asked to speak with an office manager ( never got transferred ) I was simply told that's their policy. When your client had been greatly disserviced, perhaps it's time to bend the rules a bit and carefully review the client's complaints. Had I read the previous reviews on here, I would not have chosen this office. Stay clear of this place!!!!
- Cons: Very unprofessional all the way around
Trancas Dental Group knows dentistry!

The only reason I care to share my experience is because I feel one should make a wise decision when choosing a dental or medical provider. I worked with a top insurance company for 18 years and have had a great experience with Trancas. I have had much dental work performed and all has been professionally explained and treated. I have had no financial quarrels with this office and have only experienced headaches when working with a new insurance company I have recently joined due to my retirement. If you are looking for a cheap dentist who will avoid diagnosing only to keep you coming back...look elsewhere, at Trancas they will look at each tooth and diagnose everything they see to prevent further dental issues.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
- Pros: Knowledgable, Sincere, and Professional
- Cons: upstairs
