A wine country inn at budget hotel prices.. The Scene
Nouveau Victorian might be the best way to describe this property. The white three-story inn greets guest with a modern gazebo in a pleasant tree-shaded setting. Nearly 100 wineries within a fifteen-minute drive include the famous Robert Mondavi estate.

The Details
Comfy seating and a wood-burning fireplace adorn the lobby, which feels more personal than the less-than-exciting guest rooms. Accommodations are spacious, but décor is done in shades of brown. Still, they include views of the surrounding gardens, and all are equipped with internet access. Many also have whirlpool tubs and kitchenettes, and one room features a private patio. Surrounded by white trellises and lots of foliage, the pool area is bright and cheery.

Perfect Stay. The John Muir Inn was the perfect place to stay for our Wine Country visit. The location couldn't be better, right off 29, and so close to many wineries. The ammenities were lovely and the staff friendly. Continental breakfast, pool, spa, great rooms ~ all this made for a wonderful stay at The John Muir Inn!
