The Food
This family-owned bit of the boot puts you in the mood for a feast as you wander through listening to arias and examining some of the finest Italian edibles available. From salamis and sweets to wines and vinegars, if it's Italian or Italian-style (for example Californian Tuscan-style organic olive oil) and edible, you will find it here. The full-service deli offers sandwiches made from authentic cold cuts such as mortadella or capicola, cold salads such as marinated artichoke hearts, and hot items such as meatballs and ravioli. The only disappointment is the cheese selection, which doesn't extand far past the old standbys, parmesan, mozzarella and gorgonzola.
The Scene
Though most of the business is takeaway, tables allow you to sit and relax, whether it be inside or curbside. This place is usually crowded, so sip a cappuccino or Italian soda while you wait.

From deli sandwiches to hot pasta, it.s all delicious. The selection of meats, cheeses and salads is abundant and they have several different marinated olives to choose from, my personal favorite. They also have a good selection their own homemade frozen foods, such as lasagna, tortelini, and various sauces. I haven't tried EVERYTHING yet, but I am working on it. The meat lasagne so far is the best to me. Today I had the artichoke frittata with the New York antipasti salad. Yummy.............. Prices are reasonable for the quaility product the put out. The Staff is friendly and fun and you really get sort of a familial feeling when you go there. Since discovering this fabulous eatery, I have gone there at least 3 times a week, often purchasing not only for my dinner, but getting enough to take to work with me for lunch the next day. Oh and last but not least, they sell Ciao Bella Gelato which if you never have had, once you do you will never want to eat any other brand of ice cream or sorbet . I challenge anyone to find a better sandwich in Napa.

My husband refers to this as his ??????favorite deli??????, so when we go to Napa this is a frequent stop. Their deli case has a great selection of salads, meat, cheeses, and hot items. We like to get sandwiches with all the fixings. My husband??????s favorite is the eggplant sandwich, I usually stick with various cheeses. The atmosphere there is ??????Italian Deli?????? with hanging garlic braids and cured meats, along with tempting pastries. There is an espresso bar and seating inside and a few tables outside. The service is extremely friendly and efficient. During those peak lunch hours you might have a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. Genova??????s is tucked away in the shopping center by Longs Drugs.
