Very poor. I've lived in Napa Valley for 12 years. The Red Hen used to be a good place to eat if you enjoy Tex-Mex. That has changed drastically! The food is now very mediocre, the taco trucks are better. The service is very poor. My meal didn't arrive until 10 to 15 minutes AFTER my dining companions. A very unpleasant experience.

Eat out side if you want to fight the flys and birds. Oh my goodness - we had lunch there yesterday -outside - Please!!! We fought the flys and the birds and tried to eat at the same time - We won't go back there - ever.

Not so good food. In my honest humble opinion, if you are looking for the worst food in the whole state of California, then this is the place to eat. We have eaten mexican food all over the USA and Mexico, and the local taco venders in and around Napa are 100 times better. How can they even refer that food as good mexican cuisine? It appears painfully obvious that they are just in it for the money and to take advantage of the unsuspecting tourist that happens to see the owner's horrifying commercials! Poor little dog, please release him from his misery!!

Red Hen Cantina. I have been going to the Red Hen for years..ButI since they moved from down the street to the new location the place isn`t the same... I stopped going..It used to be hearty Mexican food..But the last couple times..I had bad heartburn..What can I say...Its a fun place to have a drink with co-workers..And the fire place outside is nice..But its not as nice as it used to be..They need new tables and they need to clean up more ..And I noticed the chef was all sweaty.wiping his head on his apron..not good,,

All that adverticing on TV is not helping..This is a one-stop cafe.

A valley staple!. Other than their stab at breakfast a few months ago (we don't talk about it anymore), this place is a must. Lots of choices, and they can adjust to various dietary needs. Even their burger's good! Well, it's okay...it's worth a try, anyway. Great staff, very energetic and friendly. Try it for lunch on the deck! I'm not a drinker, so I won't comment on the bar. I hear it's very lively, though, and the margaritas rock! :)
