The first thing to note is that this house is indeed pink. The second is that it is a brilliant example of Victorian architecture, complete with a turret. It enjoys a tree-lined hillside location with views above Calistoga, a wine country town lined with boutiques, restaurants and wine-tasting shops.

The Details
Built in 1875, this bed and breakfast sets itself apart by offering small hotel amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, in-room massage and a gourmet breakfast every morning. The six guest rooms are furnished with fireplaces, four-poster beds and antiques from Europe, America and the Orient. The house's public spaces, such as the parlor with fireplace, are period in style.
