Housed in the same industrial park as his own corporate offices, one might think Francisc Ford Coppola's newest restaurant venture (based on the cuisine of his mother) aims to satiate his own noontime cravings. The space, a scattering of red booths and patio tables, is stylish despite the parking-lot locale, with framed photos of Coppola's family and films. Comforting classics dominate the menu, like spaghetti carbonara with spice-cured pancetta or a meatball sandwich blanketed in oozing mozzerella. A wood-fired pizza oven dishes out Roman style slices on thick, square-cut foccaccia or thin and crispy Neapolitan-style pies. Breakfast items like chilaquiles, burritos and French toast break through the Italian borders to please the international Napa palate.
