Citysearch Editorial Review. In a valley congested with "destination" and "special occasion" restaurants, affordable eats (beyond diners and drive-ins) are a rare find. This eatery hits the mark, however, with modern comfort fare and a bustling tavern appeal. Reclaimed wood captures a casual barnyard vibe, while a smattering of antique bottles and vintage photography keep rusticity at bay. Local groups and couples settle in to window-side leather booths or linger at one of two bars. The open-kitchen pleases the snack-sharing populous with bubbling crab and artichoke dip and frito burger sliders with avocado relish. Soups, salads and sandwiches comprise the entrée offerings, but not without invention. Burgers benefit from a fried organic egg or thyme roasted mushrooms, caper mayonnaise smothers the crispy snapper sandwich and even the french fries boast add-ons like parmesan and truffle.
