Review from Veggiething Dictator.
Ubuntu doesn't call itself a vegetarian restaurant but a "vegetables" restaurant, and for sure the focus here is on the products of their garden. Cooked to perfection, I've never had a vegan dish from this kitchen that I didn't love. But, if you're in the mood for something slightly more sinful, try their fries. They almost always have some version (polenta, chickpea, etc.) on the menu, and they are all perfectly fried and salty, as fries should be. Paired with the sweet and savory romesco, there are few better ways to start a meal. Just order some more fresh veggie dishes to balance things out and you're all set!

This holistic restaurant has garnered national recognition--unheard of for a vegetarian restuarant--and now ranks only behind French Laundry in the Napa heirarchy..
Literally meaning "humanity towards others," this concept restaurant promotes both physical and environmental wellness. Lofty ceilings and washed stone walls encase a warmly earth-toned space, where bright Buddhist murals and statues are welcome cultural splashes. On bustling weekend nights, tourists and Napa townies are forced to mix it up at the long communal table. Eschewing meat and embracing the bounty of local gardens, the menu features both healthful and decadently sinful options. Dishes range from sweet lavender-encrusted almonds and red Russian kale pizza to butter-laden cauliflower in a cast-iron skillet and jars of sour cherry cheesecake.
