The FOOD, the FOOD.
The rooms are serene, the spa offerings remarkable, bikes on site brilliant; and the room with sofa bed and hot tub has a fence between the terrace and the tub to keep the munchkins safe. The highlight, resort notwithstanding, is the FOOD at Solbar. Oh my word; the "Lucky Pig" is a pork roast falling apart tender for two in its own little tureen with multiple condiments to make your own mushu pork. The lettuce wraps with shrimp are beyond beautiful, and sublime. The kids' mac and cheese is generous to a fault, and the other guests seem to think small children waving their spoons between bites are a plus. Lemon pancakes for breakfast? Who gets lemon pancakes for breakfast? Presumably someday, noone will go anywhere else.
