You Will Fly Through The Menu. I booked a reservation here after having a conversation w/ an associate about her strict diet. We did not want to leave her out for dinner, so we called around to many restaurants & Boon Fly was so cordial & willing to accomodate her. That alone gives them 4 stars. It wasnt that she was picky, she just has to be careful so she is not ill! The server went through the optons very carefully with her before recommending the hamburger meat w/ no bread, a side of gluten free bacon & a organic salad w/ lite dressing.(I never knew bacon could have gluten!) She enjoyed it alot! I was sharing w/ another friend & we dove into our flatbread pizza with generous slices of smoked salmon & a halibut entree that was cooked excellently. I can say the meal & of course wine list(it is wine country)was tasty. The decor was minimal but not sterile. Actually pretty homey w/ a porch out front.

Inside, exposed piping, lofted ceilings, and an open-kitchen give the modern space an inviting, barn-like feel. A chalkboard details daily specials, but regulars rarely waver from their favorites. Early morning eats include green eggs and ham with lemon-leek cream, cinnamon-apple pancakes, or famous Boon Fly beignets for a dollar a donut. American classics like crispy fried chicken and red wine-braised short ribs shine as dinner mains, though lighter fare like rustic flatbread pizzas and inventive salads like warm, wild arugula with pancetta and a poached egg are light but rich-in-taste options.
