Editorial Review. True to its name, Market uses ingredients fresh from local farmers to bring a stylish American restaurant to downtown St. Helena.

An Awesome Lunch Experience. While browsing down Main St in ST Helena we came across this restaurant. Not really caring where we ate for lunch we decided to stop in. SO glad we did!!! Very fast-paced which made it perfect for our quick lunch. The ceviche atmosphere was incredible, but the macaroni & cheese entree was OUT OF THIS WORLD! My husband cannot stop thinking about & would probably go back to Napa just to have it again. Great, friendly service! A perfect lunch experience....

Convenient, cheap, surprisingly good food. I really don't know where the prior reviewer is coming from. I went for lunch with a group of eight and everyone's entree was absolutely on the mark. I thought prices were very fair, though I was expecting a more casual menu. The place is nice but something about it did suggest more cafe/bistro. $18 for an excellent piece of fish with very nice veg seems not that much to pay. can't speak to the wine list as we'd done most of oiur drinking at wineries by 2pm.

Napa restaurants are overrpiced. We decided to dine at Market on a whim, shortly after our arrival in Napa and hunger led us to this restaurant on Main Street. The table cloth tables with lovely wooden bar add a nice ambiance to the place. I didn't like my mushroom soup, it didn't taste nor looked like mushroom soup - the best in my opinion is still at Krakow Restaurant in SF - and was spicy to boot. I loved the fried calamari appetizer which had a flaky, crunchy crust and was served with fried red bell peppers, reminscent of Tempura in a Japanese restaurant. The turkey club sandwich was quite good and it's a better bargain if you order their 3 course meal at lunch for about $10 - cup of soup, sandwich and rice krispy treat (just like the one at home). Otherwise, their ala carte entrees run about $15-18, pricey, for lunch.
