Bring your own liquor for your drink. My boyfriend and I come to Napa every year from Nashville, Tennessee. Upon arriving we decided to go down stair and have a drink at Agele's. The bartender must be paid on the liquor profits of this establishment. They proceeded to poured 1 1/3 of an oz. thimble size small shot of liquor and tried to call it a $9.00 dollar martini. We have eaten there previously and the food was good but the service is slow and the bartender has been rude on both occasions. Maybe an etquitte class would be helpful.

No Southern hospitality shown here.

Good food, great service. We really enjoyed our recent visit to Angele. We requested and were seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Napa River. Our waiter was funny, knowledgeable and made several fantastic recommendations. His first, a cocktail made from sparkling lemonade and green tea vodka. We truly enjoyed the drink and made sure to pick up two bottles of the local infusion before our return home. The menu was french and represented the various regions cuisine well. Our entre's (a fried and breaded pork chop special and Wild Salmon with Hirloom tomatoes) were great, again two selections by our waiter. For desert I went with a standard sorbet and my girlfriend chose a special (chocolate something) and when she noticeably did not like it our server quickly removed and replaced with a classic chocolate cake. She was I happy, I was happy and our server got the dividends in the form of a healthy tip. I really liked everything here and will be back.

Locals and tourists head to this sunny riverfront restaurant in Napa for a rustic French experience.. In Short
Exposed wooden beams, concrete floors and bright flowers evoke Provence at this 100-year-old restored boathouse. Diners choose from an extensive menu of mostly classic French comfort foods, like frisée salad with lardons, onion soup, croque monsieurs and Coquilles St. Jacques. Exceptional main courses include fork-tender beef Bourguignon served with a side of macaroni in a bright Le Creuset cast iron pot. Desserts, such as profiteroles with ice cream and chocolate fondant, please culinary traditionalists.

Wonderfully romantic. This is an excellent restuarant to take a special someone or an intimate group of friends. I took my boyfriend here for Valentine's day and I couldn't have asked for a better restaurant. The waitstaff was excellent and the meal was absolutely superb. I highly recommend the warm chocolate cake for desert.

I can't wait to go back to Angele! Oh and the Sweetie Pie bakery is right next door and its an excellent place to grab a small desert and coffee.
