great macaroons
by pinays
the bakery could get really crowded if you had 8 people inside so the staff could get a little bit overwhelmed and annoyed.
that being said, the macaroons (vanilla, caramel, chocolate, peanut butter) were definitely sweet and delicious. you get that sticky feeling in the mouth without your hands getting all sticky. the brownies were also rich and went well with any red wine. the peanut butter cup was also rich. i did not try the eclair but am told it was sinfully delicious. the fruit tart was probably not my favorite -- but then again, i am not a fan of fruity desserts.
if you are a chocolate lover, stick with that and you can't really go wrong.

We always enjoy Bouchon while spending time in wine country, the mini pastries are great especially th little Bouchons. great coffee and drinks.
I like to take out pastries and sandwiches for the day on the road. Good value too!
Simply Amazing

Absolutely phenomenal bakery that puts out their own version of familiar American favorites such as nutter butters, orioles and smores. Traditional selections such as their cheese tart or lemon bars are to die for. Sandwiches come out around 11am and are gone by noon so get there early to snag one of their legendary ham and cheese baguettes.
A few tables and benches are provided outside but are usually full, so enjoy your treats while taking a leisurely stroll down Washington Street.
- Pros: nutter butters!, ham and cheese, cheese tart
