Fun little noisy tapas bar, order lots of small dishes to share & drink some local wines, but don't forget to order the paella negro to enjoy an outstanding rendition of this dish.
ZuZu.
Love this place!
I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and cannot complain about anything.
I have a lot of favorites, but some of the best ones are...
Pan roasted brussel sprouts with bacon - yumminess, you must get this one!
Shaved artichoke-portebello salad - very refreshing and light.
Boquerones - I like this plate even though I don't particularly care for anchovies.
Flat-iron steak - very juicy and tender.
Lamb burger - great!
This is a must try place when you are in napa!
Awesome tapas, unique restaurant, in the heart of Napa. The service was great and so was the food. Everything on the menu is creative and really delicious. If you're in Napa, this is a restaurant you definitely should check out! It's open late and easy to get in to.
Enticing and warm, Napa's tapas hot spot matches sexy decor with luscious Spanish plates..
The Scene
Zuzu glows with contentment and soul. Dark woods, exposed beams and tile floors flicker mysteriously in the candlelight, while Latin rhythms add electricity without competing with the conversations that flow so freely here. Even the parade of plates from the kitchen feels a part of the dance.
The Food
Brightly dressed with shards of endive, sprigs of micro greens and fronds of chervil, marinated anchovies make a good start. The salt cod and potato mixture known as bacalao comes bubbly and golden in an earthenware crock, its pillowy, crablike texture at once homey and exotic. Moroccan barbecued lamb chops are luscious, meaty and drizzled in a garnet-colored reduction with notes of coffee, chocolate and chilies. Zuzu's paella is to other paellas what filet mignon is to hamburger; dazzling aromas of saffron and smoky Spanish paprika swirl around a sizzling cast iron paella pan mounded with toothsome Valencia rice.
a good experience.
have eated there several times. typical Tapas portions, 3 or 4 make a meal. Last time I ate there we spent $45 a person (3 of us) with a bottle of wine before tip.
Food is very good, nice selection and variety of tastes! Recommended!
Note not open for lunch on weekends.
