Located in a quiet neighborhood, this stately mansion is easy walking distance from town shops and top restaurants. The dramatic entrance features a tall ceiling, winding staircase and ornate chandelier. Each morning, the hospitable innkeeper serves a healthy-but-hearty breakfast in an elegant dining room just off the entrance. Guests enjoy evening wine and hors-d'oeuvres in the formal parlor, adorned with a grandfather clock and grand piano, or on the welcoming veranda set with oversized wicker chairs.

The Details
Décor stays true to the home's Victorian heritage, with antiques, handcrafted plaster ceilings and intricate gilded mirrors, but generations of family photos throughout add a personal touch. Five unique suites include marble or wood-carved fireplaces and Jacuzzi or soaking tubs. The ground floor Carducci master suite is equipped with a 14-foot ceiling, king size four-poster bed, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a cushy leather armchair and sofa.
