Unprofessional Resort. Planned a trip to this resort as a weekend getaway for my partner who suffered a nervous breakdown only to have the resort mis-handle our reservations through expedia and try to move us out of our room a day early saying we only booked one night. Not the case at all. Yes things happen and the resort finally saw it was their error and gladly offered to upgrade us to a suite. (We could not stay in the same room and were rushed out due to the room now being over booked)

But the damage was done. My partner had an anxiety attack and just wanted to leave. So much for the relaxation and I was extremely furious with the resort for making a situation worse.

They offered to credit us back since we wanted to leave and apologized for the trouble and would take care of the issue...but lo and behold our american express statement came and we were still charged.

Called the resort back and well bad bad bad attitude over the phone regarding the matter but then seeing it was their fault (again) said they needed to still call expedia to handle the charge. They called and yep their fault again.

Don't get me wrong this is a beautiful resort and the staff (beyond front desk and managers) were great but I should not have to worry about getting booted out of our room while I'm trying to attend to a sick love one.

May I add we drove in from LA with a rental car only to have to drive back .

Silverado Resort needs to tighten up their ship. WORSE hotel stay ever!

Already alerted our own clients to avoid this resort and not book any future events or lodging due to the unprofessional-ism.

Beautiful place, nice spa treatments ,and great -but expensive food. The accomadations are just ok. The course and the mansion are beautiful. The spa service that I received was average. I would reccomend a massage over a body wrap. I was a tad cold in the room, however the people were friendly. The food at the mansion was great however a tad pricey. The greens were kept up and the again the service at the course was excellent. Makes for a great day overall.

find a cheap rate, and don't plan to spend much time in your room. Stayed at the Silverado after I found a great rate for Sunday-Thursday nights which included a few complimentary tastings at local wineries and discount coupons for other businesses in the area. The rate ended up being for their smallest accommodations, which was a locked in room off of a 2 bedroom suite. Needless to say, this was a SMALL room. Because we literally only slept in the room, and were out and about for the rest of our time in Napa, this was not a huge issue, however if we were staying there longer I'm not sure this room would have been tolerable. I certainly wouldn't have paid the very high weekend rate. Our room was located quite a ways from the mansion, but we were offered free shuttle service back and forth. The grounds and golfing and country club looked very nice, but again we didn't spend much time at the hotel.

Extremely disappointed and will never recommend or go back!!. My apartment in college was nicer than the rooms they offer. Unless you want to kick down for a suite (if they are even available) ? you are welcome to stay in a hole in the wall room complete with stucco walls and plastic patio chairs. Also plan on walking at least 15-20 minutes to any of the restaurants by the mansion, as well as enjoy a murky pool with no spa. Might also want to bring ear plugs unless you want to hear every bit of your neighbor?s conversations.

We were treated like children here. We planned on eating late (after reading in the book in our room that restaurants were open until 9.30 ? bar served food until 10 pm), so walked to the main grounds to eat at the grill ? right behind and older couple at 9:25 pm. We were told by the hostess we were basically out of luck, as we watched the couple in front of us be promptly seated. After leaving very disappointed in hopes the concierge could recommend something else, we walked over there only to find the concierge desk empty. The young clerks at the front desk said ?room service is open until 10? and by the time we took the long walk back to our room it was too late to order. They did not offer a shuttle back to our room or any restaurant alternatives in the area. Starving, we drove to the Truncas Steakhouse and walked in right after 10 pm. Even though they closed at 10 they were happy to seat us.

I would never recommend the Silverado to anyone. There is a Renaissance Inn down the road with a beautiful courtyard and good restaurant, which I will be enjoying next time I am in Napa.

Not a typical hotel. The resort is comprised of individually owned homes rented out to customers and managed by the resort, called "suites". We stayed in one of these homes, a half hour walk to the conference center. It was a 3 BR house with full kitchen, living & dining room with fireplace, a deck on 2 sides of the house and a porch outside the front door. Upper cabinets in the kitchen & bathroom and 2 extra bedrooms were locked & inaccessible. Your backyard is the golf course & a golfer roamed outside looking for his ball. I was disappointed there was no jacuzzi & only a shower in the bathroom. The conference facilities and dining rooms were nice. Our meeting reception was actually held on a deck which was tented over to keep the heat in. They have a free shuttle service to take you back if you chose not to drive.
